How to read the analytics page in Farmeter Buff

The Farmeter Buff analytics page has a date range, a buffalo status filter and six tabs. What each card counts, and what you can decide with it.

The การวิเคราะห์ (Analytics) page in Farmeter Buff is where everything the farm has recorded comes back as numbers and charts. At the top there is a date range and a buffalo status filter; under them are six tabs: Overview, Growth, Breeding, Health, Work and Finance. The Google Play listing describes it as real-time analysis that helps farm owners decide faster, and version 1.2.0 (13 June 2026) added more charts to the analytics feature.

This post goes through the page from top to bottom. Growth, Breeding and Finance already have their own guides, so they get a short summary and a link. Overview, Health and Work get the detail. The app's interface is in Thai; I give the Thai label in bold with an English gloss, as it appears in version 1.2.2.

The analytics page: date range and status filter on top, six tabs below. Switching the filter from current to all recounts the Overview card (the numbers in the drawing are examples).

Where is the analytics page in the app?

It is on the bottom bar. The bar has หน้าหลัก (Home), กระบือ (Buffalo), a round จดบันทึก (Record) button in the middle, การวิเคราะห์ (Analytics) and ฟาร์ม (Farm). Tap การวิเคราะห์.

You need to be signed in. In guest mode the page shows เข้าสู่ระบบเพื่อดูข้อมูลการวิเคราะห์ ("sign in to see analytics") and a sign-in button, because every number comes from your own farm. If you don't have an account or a farm yet, create those in the app first.

The Home tab is something else. It has announcements in a slider at the top, the เมนูลัด (shortcuts) for screens you open often, and suggested articles. When the farm's plan has three days or less left, Home also shows a banner, ใกล้ถึงวันหมดอายุแพ็กเกจ ("plan expiring soon"). It has no herd numbers. Those are all on the analytics page.

What do the date range and the filter at the top do?

They decide which period the numbers cover and which buffalo they count. The date range applies to every tab; the status filter applies to every tab except Finance. Change either one and the charts recalculate. The bar stays pinned at the top while you scroll.

Date range

The default is the last five years up to today. Tap the date field to open เลือกช่วงเวลา ("choose a period") and pick a start and an end date. Under the dates, a ระยะเวลา line shows the length in years, months and days. Years are shown in the Thai Buddhist calendar (2026 is 2569), and future dates can't be picked.

The range matters most for the monthly charts, such as the health trend or income and expenses. For this season only, pick a short range; to compare one year with another, pick a long one.

Buffalo status

The button on the right has three options:

Option Which buffalo are counted
กระบือปัจจุบัน (current buffalo, default) Animals still on the farm
ตาย/ขาย/หาย จากฟาร์มไปแล้ว (died, sold or lost) Animals whose status was changed to dead, sold or missing
กระบือทั้งหมด (all buffalo) Both groups together

Each option answers a different question. "What is in the pens now?" is the current filter. "How fast did the ones I sold grow before they left?" is the died/sold/lost filter. "Everything the farm has kept in this period" is all.

If the numbers look stale, pull the page down to reload.

What does the Overview tab tell me about the herd?

It tells you what the herd is made of: how many buffalo, which sex, how old. The first card, ภาพรวมฟาร์ม (farm overview), is marked ข้อมูลปัจจุบัน ("current data") and shows:

  • กระบือทั้งหมด: total buffalo, the large number in the middle.
  • เพศผู้ and เพศเมีย: male and female, as a split bar with counts and percentages.
  • จำนวนฝูงในฟาร์ม: the number of herds set up in the app.
  • อายุเฉลี่ยกระบือ: average age in years.
  • ช่วงอายุที่มากสุด: the age group with the most animals.

Below it, under โครงสร้างอายุ (age structure), are two charts. การกระจายตัวตามอายุ (age distribution) puts the herd into four groups, 0–1, 1–3, 3–5 and 5+ years, with a count for each. พีระมิดประชากร (population pyramid) puts males on one side and females on the other for each age group.

The last section, แนวโน้มจำนวนเพศผู้/เมียรายเดือน, shows male and female counts for each month in the selected range. It only appears once there is monthly data.

What can I do with the overview numbers?

Some examples (not data from any real farm):

  • Age groups come from the birth dates you entered. If an animal's birth date is wrong, so is its age group. Before planning anything around the age chart, check the birth dates of animals you bought in.
  • A large 0–1 year group pulls the herd's average weight down in the Growth tab. That does not mean the herd grows slowly.
  • Look at the pyramid before selling or culling: how many 1–3 year old males there are, and how many females are of breeding age.

Which part of the Health tab should I look at first?

Start with สถานะสุขภาพฟาร์ม (farm health status). It is a ring split by the five severity levels used in health records: เริ่มผิดปกติ (early signs), เบา (mild), ปานกลาง (moderate), รุนแรง (severe) and วิกฤต (critical). The number in the middle is the count of cases that have not yet recovered. If the severe and critical share grows, use the next cards to see which animals and which problems.

The tab is built from health records (diseases, symptoms, treatments) and vaccination records. If nothing has been recorded, there is nothing to show yet. The other cards, in order:

Card What it shows
แนวโน้มสุขภาพรายเดือน (monthly health trend) New cases versus recovered cases per month
กระบือที่มีปัญหาสุขภาพสูงสุด 5 อันดับ The five buffalo with the most health issues
ปัญหาสุขภาพที่พบบ่อย (common problems) Diseases found, symptoms found, and herds affected
กิจกรรมทีม (team activity) How many times each person observed, diagnosed or treated
วัคซีนและการป้องกัน (vaccines and prevention) Vaccinations in the range compared with the previous period, buffalo vaccinated, most used vaccines, and coverage by herd
อัตราการรักษาหาย (cure rate) Animals cured out of animals treated against a target (marked ผ่านเกณฑ์ "meets target" or ต่ำกว่าเกณฑ์ "below target"), average days to recover, and a table by disease sorted from the lowest cure rate

The two cards you can act on most directly are coverage by herd and the cure-rate table. Coverage is per herd, so after a vaccination day it shows straight away which herd was missed. The cure-rate table puts the disease with the worst recovery at the top, which is a good thing to take to your vet.

The app records what the farm has given. It does not tell you what to give. Ask your vet or the local livestock office about a vaccination programme for your buffalo.

What does the Work tab show?

การทำงาน (Work) shows what was recorded in the selected period and who recorded it. It is most useful on farms where several people help and each one records under their own account. There are four cards:

  1. สรุปกิจกรรม (activity summary): number of records in four groups: measurement, breeding, health and animal management.
  2. ผู้ผสมเทียมดีเด่น: the inseminator with the highest pregnancy rate in the period, with the number of attempts.
  3. ผู้รักษาโรคดีเด่น: the person with the highest recovery rate in the period, with the number of cases treated.
  4. กิจกรรมตามสมาชิก (activity by member): a table of farm members and the owner, with each person's measurement, breeding, health and total counts.

You can read this tab two ways. First, to find gaps in record keeping: if the activity summary shows zero measurements this month while calves have reached weighing age, the job was either not done or done and not written down. Second, to see who does which job. Be careful when comparing people, though. The pregnancy rate of someone who inseminated twice and someone who did it twenty times are not comparable; always read the count next to the rate.

If many cards say ไม่มีข้อมูลในช่วงเวลาที่เลือก ("no data in the selected period"), widen the date range first.

How do I read the Growth, Breeding and Finance tabs?

These three have their own posts, so here is just the outline:

  • Growth has sub-tabs for weight, height, heart girth and body length. Reading the trend chart and the box plot is covered in recording buffalo weight and reading the charts.
  • Breeding shows the current breeding status, a breeding funnel (how many buffalo are at each stage from ready to breed to a successful calving), success rates of artificial insemination against natural mating, inseminator performance, and the number of services until pregnancy. All of it comes from the reproductive cycle records.
  • Finance shows latest profit, cost per head, margin and monthly charts. See recording farm income and expenses.

Why don't the numbers match what I expected?

Usually because of the settings at the top or because something was not recorded, not because of a calculation error. Go through this list:

  • Is the status filter still on current buffalo? Sold animals are not counted then.
  • Does the date range cover the events you want? The default is five years.
  • Were sold, dead or lost animals given that status in the app? If not, the app still counts them as on the farm.
  • Are birth dates filled in and correct? The age charts use them.
  • Have records written on paper been entered? The app only counts what is in the app.
  • Is the selected farm the one you meant, if you belong to more than one?

The analytics page shows what was recorded and nothing more. With steady record keeping, its tabs answer most of a farm's monthly questions. With gaps, it at least shows you where the gaps are.
