Farmeter Buff has two kinds of health record. ข้อมูลสุขภาพ (health information) is per animal: you record symptoms, diseases and treatments for one buffalo at a time. วัคซีน (vaccine) is for recording one vaccination round given to several buffalo at once. Both sit in the สุขภาพ (Health) group of the record screen.
The health feature first shipped in version 1.1.0 (8 May 2026), and the notes for version 1.2.0 (13 June 2026) list recording buffalo health; the Google Play listing says the same. This guide follows version 1.2.5. The app is in Thai, so button names are given in Thai in bold with an English gloss.

What can I record about a buffalo's health?
One buffalo's health information comes in three types, and each type asks for different fields:
| Type | How the app describes it | Fields |
|---|---|---|
| อาการ (symptom) | An abnormality you noticed | Date it started, and a severity level from 1 to 5 |
| โรค (disease) | A diagnosed disease | Date found |
| การรักษา (treatment) | Medicine and care | Treatment date, frequency, and dose (for treatments that use medicine) |
The five severity levels are เริ่มผิดปกติ (early signs), เบา (mild), ปานกลาง (moderate), รุนแรง (severe) and วิกฤต (critical). วัคซีน (vaccination) has its own screen, because it is usually given to many animals on the same day.
Symptoms and treatments can be grouped under a disease. A fever caused by a disease, and the treatment given for that disease, then appear under the same disease, so when you look back later you can see what each treatment was for.
What do I need before the first record?
Three things: an account with a farm selected, buffalo registered in the app with their birth dates, and the farm's vaccines in its vaccine list.
- Select a farm. Without one, the app shows กรุณาเลือกฟาร์มก่อนบันทึกสุขภาพ ("please select a farm before recording health"). Setup is covered in installing the app and setting up the farm.
- Register the buffalo with a birth date. A health record can't be dated before the animal's birth date or in the future. For an animal that was sold, died or went missing, the date can't be later than the date its status changed. Adding animals is covered in setting up herds and the first buffalo.
- Add vaccines to the farm's list. On the Home screen, tap วัคซีน in the shortcuts to open จัดการคลังวัคซีน (manage vaccine list), tap เพิ่มวัคซีน (add vaccine) and type the ชื่อวัคซีน (vaccine name). You add it once and pick it from the list after that. Vaccines the farm added can be edited or deleted; entries marked เพิ่มจากสหกรณ์ (added by the cooperative) or เพิ่มจากระบบ (added by the system) can't be edited.
Diseases, symptoms and treatments don't need to be set up beforehand. You can add them while recording (step 4 below).
How do I record a symptom, disease or treatment for one buffalo?
Tap the จดบันทึก (Record) button in the middle of the bottom bar, choose ข้อมูลสุขภาพ, pick the buffalo and fill in the form for the type you need. Step by step:
Step 1: open the record screen
Tap จดบันทึก. The บันทึกข้อมูล screen lists the record groups. Under สุขภาพ there are two buttons: ข้อมูลสุขภาพ (diseases, symptoms, treatments) and วัคซีน (vaccinations). Tap ข้อมูลสุขภาพ.
Step 2: pick the buffalo
The app opens the farm's buffalo list; pick one. If you are already looking at that animal, its detail page has a ข้อมูลสุขภาพ menu item that leads to the same place.
Step 3: check its current status, then add a record
The animal's บันทึกข้อมูลสุขภาพ screen has a สถานะปัจจุบันของปศุสัตว์ (current status) section with the diseases, symptoms and treatments that are still open. A toggle switches between ปัจจุบัน (current) and ทั้งหมด (all) to show closed ones too. Check first that what you want to record isn't already there; if it is, tap it and update it instead of creating a second one. If not, tap จดข้อมูลใหม่ (new record).
Step 4: choose the type and a name from the list
On จดบันทึกสุขภาพ, choose โรค, อาการ or การรักษา first. Then tap to choose a name, for example เลือกอาการ (choose symptom). The farm's list opens, with search.
If the name isn't there, tap เพิ่มอาการใหม่ (add a new symptom; or the disease or treatment equivalent) and fill in:
- the name of the symptom, disease or treatment;
- for a symptom, its ประเภท (category): one of eight groups, respiratory, digestive, behaviour, body, nervous system, skin, reproductive and general;
- for a treatment, ประเภทการรักษา: ใช้ยา (uses medicine) or ไม่ใช้ยา (no medicine). This decides whether the form asks for a dose;
- an optional คำอธิบาย (description).
Use names everyone on the farm will use the same way, such as the medicine's name on its label rather than a nickname. The charts on the analytics page count by the names in this list, so one thing recorded under two names is counted as two.
Step 5: fill in the details
The fields depend on the type:
- Symptom: วันที่เกิด (date it started) and ความรุนแรง (severity, from early signs to critical).
- Disease: วันที่พบโรค (date found).
- Treatment: วันที่รักษา (treatment date), ขนาดยา (dose, only for treatments that use medicine) and ความถี่ (frequency).
The dose has two parts, an amount and a unit, and both must be filled in; the amount must be above zero. Units include milligrams (mg), millilitres (ml), cc, international units (IU), tablets, capsules, vials, syringes and drops.
Frequency can be ครั้งเดียว (once), ทุกวัน (daily), ทุกสัปดาห์ (weekly), ทุกเดือน (monthly), ทุกชั่วโมง (hourly), เมื่อจำเป็น (as needed) or อื่นๆ (other). The repeating ones take a number, such as every 2 days or every 8 hours. Under it, บันทึกเพิ่มเติม (extra notes) is for things like "after feeding".
An example treatment record (the medicine and numbers are made up, not dosing advice):
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | Treatment |
| Name | Medicine A (uses medicine) |
| Treatment date | 3 Sep 2026 |
| Dose | 10 ml |
| Frequency | Daily |
| Extra notes | Intramuscular, as prescribed by the vet |
Dose and frequency should come from your vet or the label. The app stores what the farm gave; it does not check whether the dose is right.
Step 6: review, add who was involved, confirm
Tap บันทึกข้อมูลใหม่ (save new record). A ยืนยันการบันทึกข้อมูล (confirm) screen shows the details again. It has an optional person field whose name depends on the type: ผู้ตรวจอาการ (who examined the symptom), ผู้วินิจฉัยโรค (who diagnosed) or ผู้สั่งการรักษา (who prescribed). You can pick from บุคลากรฟาร์ม (farm staff) or บุคลากรภายนอก (external staff), such as a visiting vet. Tap ยืนยัน to save.
The person picked here shows up in the กิจกรรมทีม (team activity) card on the analytics page (how to read the analytics page).
How do I group symptoms and treatments under a disease?
There are two ways. The first is in the form: the symptom and treatment forms have a การจัดกลุ่ม (grouping) section. Tap it and pick the related record.
- A symptom can be set as เกิดจากโรค (caused by) a disease.
- A treatment can be set as รักษาอาการ/โรค (treats) a disease or a symptom.
If you skip it, the record is ไม่จัดกลุ่ม (ungrouped) and shown on its own.
The second way is for when the symptom was recorded first and the vet diagnosed the disease later. On the บันทึกข้อมูลสุขภาพ screen, long-press the symptom and drag it onto the disease. The symptom, with any treatments under it, moves under the disease. A บันทึกการแก้ไข (save changes) button appears at the bottom; it lists what was ย้ายเข้า (moved into) or ย้ายออกจาก (moved out of) each disease before you confirm.
A common order on a farm: the keeper notices a symptom and records it with a severity; the vet diagnoses a disease, so you record the disease and drag the symptom under it; the vet prescribes medicine, so you record the treatment grouped under the disease.
What do I record when the buffalo recovers?
Close the records that are over. Tap the record on the บันทึกข้อมูลสุขภาพ screen; at the top of the edit form there is a question:
- อาการนี้หายแล้ว (this symptom has cleared) for a symptom;
- โรคนี้หายแล้ว (this disease is cured) for a disease;
- การรักษานี้จบแล้ว (this treatment has ended) for a treatment.
Tap it and pick a date. The date can't be before the record's own date or after today. When you close a disease that has symptoms or treatments under it, an option จบรายการย่อยที่เกี่ยวข้อง closes those on the same date. A confirm screen, for example ยืนยันการปิดโรค, asks you to check the date again.
Once closed, a record shows หายวันที่ (cured on) for diseases and symptoms, or หยุดวันที่ (stopped on) for treatments, and leaves the ปัจจุบัน view. Switch to ทั้งหมด to see it again.
Closing matters for the analytics page. If a buffalo has recovered but its record was never closed, the app has no way of knowing; the record still counts as an open case and is not counted as recovered in the cure rate.
How do I record a vaccination for many buffalo at once?
Use the วัคซีน screen. It has three steps on one page: pick animals, pick the date, pick vaccines.
- Open it. Tap จดบันทึก and choose วัคซีน under Health.
- Pick animals. Tap แตะเพื่อเลือกสัตว์ที่ต้องการฉีดวัคซีน ("tap to choose animals to vaccinate") and select as many as you need. สัตว์ที่เลือก shows how many.
- Pick the vaccination date. It defaults to today, and future dates can't be chosen. If the group includes an animal that was sold or died, the date can't be later than that animal's status change.
- Pick vaccines. This step opens only after animals are selected. Search the farm's list and select one or more vaccines; if one is missing, tap เพิ่มวัคซีนใหม่ (add new vaccine) here.
- Save. The button shows the count, for example บันทึก (2 วัคซีน) ("save, 2 vaccines"). A ยืนยันการบันทึก (confirm) dialog shows the date, number of animals and number of vaccines. Tap บันทึก again.
While you pick vaccines, the app warns about two things:
- ฉีดซ้ำในวันที่เลือก (repeat on the selected date): if some buffalo already have this vaccine recorded on the same date, the app says รายการเหล่านี้จะไม่ถูกบันทึก ("these will not be saved"). The rest of the group is saved as normal, so no duplicate is created.
- เคยฉีดก่อนหน้า (given before): how many animals have had this vaccine before, and ฉีดล่าสุด (last given). This is information only; it doesn't block saving.
The ประวัติ (history) button on the same screen opens ประวัติวัคซีน, the vaccination history of the selected animals by date.
Can I fix or undo a wrong record?
Yes, in both cases.
- Edit a health record: tap it on บันทึกข้อมูลสุขภาพ, change the values and tap บันทึกการเปลี่ยนแปลง (save changes). The confirm screen shows each value that changed, from what to what.
- Undo a health record: tap ดูประวัติ to open ประวัติสุขภาพ (health history), which keeps every save with the names of who examined, diagnosed and treated. Pick the wrong one and tap ย้อนกลับบันทึกนี้ (revert this record). The app asks ยกเลิกบันทึกนี้? ("cancel this record?") and explains that the animal's status will be rolled back. A reason is optional. The cancelled save stays in the history, labelled ยกเลิกแล้ว (cancelled).
- Undo a vaccination: open ประวัติวัคซีน and choose ยกเลิกรายการ (cancel entry) on the wrong one.
Undoing does not erase history. The Google Play listing describes the record history as a way to see when data was recorded and who edited it, so on a farm where several people record, you can trace who changed what.
Where can I see the health picture for the whole farm?
On the สุขภาพ (Health) tab of the analytics page. It turns the records above into a farm health status by severity, a monthly trend, common problems, vaccine coverage by herd and the cure rate. Each card is explained in how to read the analytics page.
A short list to pin up by the pens:
- Add the vaccines the farm uses to the list before vaccination day.
- See a symptom: record it with its severity that day.
- Vet diagnosed it: record the disease and group the symptom under it.
- Gave medicine: record the treatment with dose and frequency, and who prescribed it.
- Recovered: close the records with the recovery date.
- Vaccination day: select every animal vaccinated in one go, then check coverage by herd.
The app remembers what was given, to which animal, when, and by whom. Choosing medicines and a vaccination programme is still the vet's job.
